So we have decided between us we have enough toasters/towels/posh towels/cutlery/posh cutlery (i.e. we don’t have any posh cutlery and if we did it would only sit there gathering dust and/or be used once and then get dropped and broken. Or lost.  My butter fingers mean I have long been resigned to never having anything nice for more than a week). So we thought we would give John Lewis a miss and you can buy stuff from Oxfam to help people in developing countries. Added bonus: you get to feel great about yourself – all warm inside like a toasty buttered crumpet.

N.B please do not confuse this by buying us an actual goat or chickens. As of just now, our neighbours seem to quite like us – I am keen to keep that up. 😉
